Reconstruction of the RIVIÉRA Swimming Pool – Stage II

The popular Riviera swimming pool in Brno has been undergoing gradual reconstruction in recent years. The goal of the second stage was to construct an operating facility for the volleyball court and a new cafeteria. The architect behind the design of the two elliptical buildings is Ing. arch. Adam Kuruec from A Plus a.s. The construction manager, Hynek Brandl, and his team ensured its successful implementation, navigating through newly created anti-pandemic measures during construction.

The modern facilities, featuring epoxy floors, internal HPL board cladding, and admitted formwork, are designed to enhance the comfort of both visitors and pool employees. Exterior landscaping efforts included the installation of a gabion wall and the addition of paved roads. An STL pipeline connection was established to the newly constructed volleyball courts, facilitated by a controlled flow under the Mill Creek.

Despite temporary border closures and challenges such as the transport of the bending machine for the calzipan cladding from Germany, the construction was completed on time and met the agreed-upon quality standards.
