Brno’s functionalist monument, designed by architect Bohuslav Fuchs to accommodate students, has undergone a necessary reconstruction of the ground floor premises and the school canteen.
The basement areas faced challenges of dampness and leakage, requiring the rehabilitation of the building’s support system. Our remediation team, under the expert leadership of Ing. Oldřich Tomíček, Ph.D., managed the necessary modifications, overseeing all construction works and deliveries.
As a result of the reconstruction, the Youth House staff now enjoys new hygienic facilities in the dining room, separate changing rooms with toilets, and renovated machine rooms. The emphasis during reconstruction was on the utilization of original materials and elements, such as the use of refurbished original door leaves along with door frames.
