The professional firefighters from Rosice in the Brno region now respond to emergencies from a state-of-the-art fire station constructed for them by ESOX as the general contractor. Prior to the inauguration of this new facility, the firefighters operated from premises resembling a residential home. However, these facilities lacked adequate space for equipment storage, maneuverability around vehicles, and safe access to the road.
Situated on the northern outskirts of Rosice, towards Říčany, the construction of the new station commenced with the demolition of existing structures and vegetation. The new two-story building occupies a footprint of 1,213 square meters, boasting spacious garages, a workshop, and a vehicle wash bay.
The station is outfitted with amenities catering to mechanical, chemical, and technical services. Notable features include a hose-drying tower, stainless steel hose-washing sink, garage exhaust fume extraction system, diesel generator for power backup, and a photovoltaic power plant comprising 110 panels with a total capacity of 50 kWp.
Manned by 30 firefighters working in three shifts, the station houses essential firefighting vehicles such as two tanker trucks, a rapid intervention vehicle, a car platform, a technical vehicle, a container carrier, a transport vehicle, and a command vehicle. Additionally, firefighters have access to a newly constructed multifunctional training ground with artificial turf.
Construction commenced in November 2021, culminating in the completion of the facility in March 2023. The construction of the new fire station in Rosice incurred costs totaling CZK 96.8 million, primarily funded by the state budget, with a contribution of CZK 2.2 million from the South Moravian Region.
